Growing up with 2 Brothers and Two Sisters my parents were always looking for ways to keep us busy. They stuck me in violin lessons, and 4-H. In 4-H we learned how to sew, decorate cakes and baked goods, and cook. But, my mother was always sewing with us girls. Making our prom and homecoming dresses with her are some of the best memories I have. Then when I married a marine, my sewing ability was mostly restricted to patches on uniforms for my husbands squad. It didn't get any better when we had 3 boys! So I made them clothes, which they mostly complained about. My sons played soccer and one of their teammates had sisters, and I was finally able to get back to sewing dresses. I remember that first dress for Melinda. It was a black Velvet homecoming dress. From there I started doing a lot of homecoming and prom flowers for my sons, their friends, and people from church. As the girls got older they asked me to help alter their dresses, decorate their weddings, and arrange their flowers. And after all these years doing weddings and dresses my sons decided to help me start my own business. I would love to help make your rustic wedding extra special.
