I had just gotten my first pair of glasses before we moved to Thompson Ohio, and I was the awkward new girl at Ledgemont High School. My sophomore year I had 8th period study hall, and in came Jeff late as always. I didn’t know him, other than he was one of the “Popular Kids”. Over the next few months we talked, mostly him complaining about his girlfriends, but also about football and wrestling, needless to say we didn’t do much studying.
Then he asked me out. I told him, he wasn’t my type. He gave me a stubborn look, and there was a little glint in his eye, that said “I’m gonna prove you wrong”. Two years later (1981) we got married, and he has been “Proving Me Wrong Ever Since”.
